Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1995 Magnum - CASE SALES ONLY - OWC (6x 1.5L Magnum)

74% Cabernet Sauvignon 18% Merlot 8% Cabernet FrancA very sunny year with a dry summer. Early in September, we had some light rain that was good for the grapes. The harvests began at the normal dates with well-ripened grapes. TASTING NOTES (AT BOTTLING):This is an excellent vintage, with particularly fine tannins. It is very elegant with a long palate and will age for a very long time.OWC wooden case for 6 magnums - excellent condition - sealed. This wine will be sent out in OWC unless otherwise specified.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1996 Double Magnum - CASE SALES ONLY - OWC (3x 37L)

83% Cabernet Sauvignon 9% Merlot 8% Petit VerdotThe growing season was excellent in 1996, with optimal conditions for the initial part of the growth cycle. August was then difficult, cold, and rainy; drenching the winegrowers’ spirits. Fortunately this was followed by a gloriously sunny September.TASTING NOTES (AT BOTTLING):This vintage thus had three phases, which ultimately produced a rich, dense, structured, very complex wine. Some tasters find ’96 reminiscent of the elegance of ’53, and the power of ’59, which augurs well for this vintage that will undoubtedly improve with age for a very long time!OWC wooden case for 3 double magnums - excellent condition - sealed. This wine will be sent out in OWC unless otherwise specified.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1998 Magnum - CASE SALES ONLY - OWC (3x 1.5L Magnum)

81% Cabernet Sauvignon 19% MerlotWe were concerned that a rainy harvest might dash our high hopes founded on the early bud break, uniform flowering, dry spring and scorching August. But very fortunately there was no rain until the harvests had already begun. The grapes were moistened but not harmed, in what was perhaps a case of divine intervention.TASTING NOTES (AT BOTTLING):Once the first vats had been prepared, analysed, and tasted, weary expressions changed to satisfied smiles. This vintage reflects the strength of our terroir, with its dark, deep colour and a woody, fruity, spicy attack. The 98 may be kept for a long time; a rich, full-bodied wine with a very long, silky finish.OWC wooden case for 3 magnums - excellent condition - sealed. This wine will be sent out in OWC unless otherwise specified.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1Er Cru Classe 1982 Bottle (1x 75cl)

The 1982 Lafite possesses a dark, dense ruby/purple color with only a subtle lightening at the rim. Spectacular aromatics offer jammy cherry and black fruits intertwined with lead pencil, mineral, and smoky wood scents. Powerful for a Lafite, this wine unfolds to reveal extraordinary richness, purity, and overall symmetry in addition to stunning flavor depth and persistence. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. Plenty of tannin remains, and the wine displays a vibrancy and youthfulness that belie its age. The modern day equivalent of Lafite-Rothschild's immortal 1959, the 1982 will enjoy another 30-70 years of life! An amazing achievement! Anticipated maturity: 2007-2070. Robert Parker Jr

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1er Grand Cru Classe 1986 Bottle - CASE SALES ONLY - OWC (12x 75cl)

69% Cabernet Sauvignon 16% Cabernet Franc 15% MerlotAt the dawn of the 1986 harvests, after half a decade of success, the winemakers and wine enthusiasts were sceptical of yet another fine vintage. Yet a fine vintage it was: excellent spring weather followed by a dry summer with occasional light rain, led to a very abundant, high-quality yield. The wines are almost black in colour, very concentrated without being heavy, with distinguished, dominant tannins.TASTING NOTES (AT BOTTLING):This wine offers a surprising blend of many of the characteristics of the vintages from 1945 to 1949. It is a fine wine for laying down, that should age well due to its exceptional structure.OWC wooden case for 12 bottles - fair condition lid slightly damaged - sealedThis wine will be sent out in OWC unless otherwise specified.

Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1er Grand Cru Classe 1989 Double Magnum (1x 3L)

67% Cabernet Sauvignon 33% MerlotNo winemaker had seen such early harvests: the earliest since 1893. Beginning at the end of August, the grapes were ripe and extraordinarily sweet. While early ripening does not always lead to the best wines, we were sure that, for the reds, this would be an excellent vintage, and the wines that it produced are truly delicious. TASTING NOTES (AT BOTTLING):The Médoc produced deeply coloured wines that are rich and full-bodied, without being heavy, similar to the 1982 vintage.
