Gin & Tonic

In our opinion, a gin & tonic is one of the most sublime pleasures of life.  A slice of lemon, lime or even pink grapefruit will set it off perfectly and it is the perfect aperitif.

Eden Mill Scottish Gin is made traditionally by hand at St Andrews using copper pot stills.  It is proudly crafted by dedicated and innovative distillers who love to make your taste buds tingle!

Love gin has an aroma which is soft in juniper with a rich touch of warm spiced strawberries and raspberries.  It also has a delicate citrus note and a hint of rosewater.  The taste of strong, warming spirit, juniper and rhubarb quickly become soft and mellow. There are flavours of ripe berries as well as that of rhubarb and custard sweets which leads to a finish of green apples, citrus and a hint of rose.

Garnish with pink grapefruit or red berries. This gin has a pink tinge to it so looks beautiful when mixed with tonic as well as tasting delicious!

Caorunn - Small Batch

Scottish Gin

Caorunn is a small batch, quadruple-distilled Scottish Gin personally crafted by one man, Simon Buley at Balmenach Distillery on Speyside.  Using only the finest pure grain spirit, natural Scottish Water and 11 botanical gin ingredients, he personally crafts each and every bottle of Caorunn.

Caorunn is perfectly clear like pure Scottish water and has aromas of fresh floral and citrus, whilst being slightly spicy and aromatic. The flavour is clean, crisp and sweet, as well as full bodied and aromatic.

Caorunn is traditionally served with cool fizzing tonic and slices of red apple to highlight its aromatic flavour.

No Stress Cocktails

We love a good cocktail but who wants spend ages making it?  Why not try these four easy recipes that are quick and easy to conjure up.  Your mum will think you are a professional mixologist when you serve her these!

Violet Gin, Scotland

The award winning Boe Superior Gin is infused with violets to create Boe Violet Gin. The addition of violets creates a stylish gin with a light, delicate taste and beautiful colour and aroma.  We think this gin is perfect for cocktails and our cocktail of choice would be "Violet Gin Cup".

You will need: 50ml Violet Gin, 100ml cold lemonade, a dash of lemon juice, a violet flower to garnish. If you want your cocktail to look really special, you can freeze a violet flower into ice cubes for a beautiful twist to this drink. Pour the violet gin into a tall glass with ice and top up with lemonade. (or you could be decadent and use Prosecco!) Add a few drops of lemon juice to taste. Pop on a violet flower to finish off.

Lussa Gin
Isle of Jura, Scotland

Lussa Gin is an expression of the landscape on the Isle of Jura, off Scotland's west coast. This means the botanicals are grown, gathered and distilled on the island. Jura honeysuckle, rose petals, ground elder, water mint, ground elderflower, lime flowers, rosehips, lemon balm, orris, sea lettuce and coriander are all used in the gin, along with spring water from the nearby Lussa glen. The cocktail that the ladies of Lussa suggest for their gin is "Lussa Gin Mojito".

You will need: 50ml Lussa Gin, 10ml lime juice, 10ml elderflower cordial, 3 leaves lemon balm, 1 sprig lemon thyme, tonic water. Put all the ingredients (except tonic water) in a tall glass and "muddle" them together. Fill the glass with ice, add tonic water then relax and enjoy!

Single Malt Scottish Gin

Gilt is made using malted barley. This gives the gin a beautifully complex flavour with light citrus notes making it perfect for a "Negroni".

Gilt creates a smooth and creamy Negroni, with vanilla flavours coming through. There are some orange notes, too, before the bitter-sweet finish of the drink, with just a hint of spicy, almost gingery, warmth.

You will need: 35 mls of Gilt Gin, 35 mls sweet vermouth, 35 mls Campari, a slice of orange and 2 ice cubes. Pour the Gilt, vermouth, & Campari into a tall glass over ice, then garnish with a slice of orange. So simple and tasty!

Agreeable British Gin

Pinkster gin is hand-steeped in fresh raspberries and lends itself well to cocktail creation.  Don't be fooled as it's not sweet - just fruity and delicious! The folks at Pinkster recommend spanked mint (crushed by hand) as a garnish and we recommend it on this cheeky cocktail - "The Pinktini".

You will need: 50ml Pinkster Gin, 10ml elderflower cordial (or Edinburgh Gin Elderflower Liqueur if  you prefer) and a handful of raspberries. Fill  your shaker with ice, throw in several raspberries and then add 5 parts Pinkster to 1 part cordial (or liqueur), shake and pour. Garnish with a raspberry and spanked mint. Yummy!

Best for Bellini style drinks.

Why not try these liqueurs mixed with your favourite fizz whether that is Champagne, Prosecco, Cava or another sparkling treat?

Edinburgh Gin Liqueurs

This delightful liqueur is made using Perthshire Raspberries. and will work well with Prosecco etc, but is also worth trying on its own over ice.

Rhubarb & Ginger
This uses an infusion of Rhubarb and Ginger which works well with Prosecco. It also goes perfectly with ginger beer!

This elegant and lightly flavoured liqueur will compliment sparkling wines or will enhance other cocktails (see Pinktini above!)
Peach & Hibiscus
Gin Liqueur

Lovingly created in small batches with Boe Superior Gin. The tanginess and berry-rich flavour of Hibiscus combines perfectly with fresh peaches, to give a delightful fruity and flowery aroma and taste. Enjoy with Champagne or Prosecco, in cocktails, with soda or lemonade, or simply over ice.
