The 2011 is dark ruby in colour and features aromas of dried red fruits and herbs that mingle nicely with the earthy notes of the forest floor and hints of wet stone. This wine takes its name from the roads in Mendocino Country that zig zag through the mountains. This is a complex wine with raspberry and cherry chocolate on the nose, the palate has cherries, a prickly white pepper character. This is an elegant Zinfandel with good, refreshing acidity, but with rich tannins.
