It's pretty much lockdown everywhere again. We hope all our customers - across Scotland, the UK and Europe - are doing as well as possible and staying safe.

Here's where we are at Exel Wines:

  • Online orders continue. At our warehouse, where we have long had few staff and space, we have separated our team into separate offices to deal with incoming orders.
  • We have closed our shop on South Street in Perth. All activities - both online orders and local deliveries continue from our warehouse, see below.
  • For non-local orders (of which, more below), we continue to despatch via Parcelforce. We have been highly impressed with their level of service since March. Our deliveries are typically taking 48 hours (those North of the Border and in the very North of England may happen inside 24 hours). We are seeing some - but very few - deliveries take up to 3 days.
  • We guarantee same-working-day despatch for orders received by noon Monday to Friday, but not next-working-day delivery. 
  • We understand - and very much see - that most customers want items in short order. With a few exceptions, we are mainly selling items that we hold in stock. The few exceptions carry no end of not-yet-in-stock warnings on their product pages! If you are still unsure of availability and/or ETA, do please call us on 01738 493535.

  • This does reduce our range of offered wines from pre-pandemic levels. All the classics are still here. Do please email us if wines you seek are not on the website (to mark@exelwines.co.uk). There is a fair chance we may be able to supply them - especially if you bought them from us before - but it may take us a day to find out!
  • To all of our customers - long-time regulars and new disoverers of Exel - thank you so much for your support during COVID-19. We're doing everything we can to keep wines coming and reciprocate on that support!

We’ll keep doing what we do best and what it says on our logo: great wines delivered. That's to the UK and Europe. You want brilliant and highly-rated wines with the minimum of stress; this, we can do.

Perth area local deliveries

Areas covered: Perth (city), Scone, Auchterarder, Aberuthven, Dunning, Bridge of Earn, Abernethy, Glencarse, Stanley or Luncarty.  COVID 19 measures will be adopted by our delivery driver.

Orders between £50 and £100 - if this size of order is for you, we request that you telephone 01738 493535 or email your order to us directly (orders@exelwines.co.uk ), rather than using the website as the online payment page is not currently equipped to handle the reduced £5 delivery charge for this service

Orders over £100: To qualify for free local delivery, your order must be a minimum of £100. When placing an order online, during checkout – in/at the Important Delivery Details box on the first page of checking out, insert “home delivery" and at the end of the shipping phase (after inputting a delivery address) select Collect from Perth Warehouse. This will remove the shipment costs.

 

Order collection from our Perth warehouse

You can collect your order from our warehouse (Unit 2, Inveralmond Road, Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth, PH1 3TW).

Directions: From the A9 Inveralmond roundabout, head into the industrial estate, passing M&S on your left. Turn left at Screwfix into Inveralmond Road. After 200m, we're on the right, 2 doors beyond Greggs.

There is no minimum order value required for collection.

When placing an order online, please select Collect from Perth Warehouse at the end of the the shipping phase – this will avoid any delivery charge.

You can collect your order Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm.
