Independent whisky merchant and bottler, Morrison and Mackay, have produced this superb Mannochmore single malt as a 29 year old. Taken from a single bourbon barrel cask that was laid down in September 1990 (around a year after Mannochmore reopened following a stint of inactivity). In January 2019, the cask (number 10241) was opened, bottled and released as part of their Carn Mor Celebration of the Cask range. A release of 209 bottles for the world so extremely rare. We have bottle numbers 12, 14, 98
Nose of apricot and nectarine, with a touch of honeydew melon hiding in there too. Aside from the fruit notes, you'll find hints of buttery croissant and fresh hay.
Palate - coconut, vanilla-y biscuits, zesty lime, candied ginger, a light touch of hoppy bitterness and vibrant mango.
Finish - nutty malt, cedar and a whiff of pineapple.
