Following on the theme set by Morrison & MacKay's The Big Strand, this is a single malt from one of Scotland's most prolific whisky producing regions - Speyside (The Big Strand was an Islay single malt). They've left which distillery produced this whisky a mystery for us all to ponder over.
Nose - thick vanilla custard, buttered white bread, a hint of cacao and lemon zest.
On the mouth, stem ginger and brandy snaps. Yet more vanilla, with a scoop of rum-raisin ice cream.
Subtly peppery on the finish.
